Labyrinth Ensemble emerged in 2013 out of a desire by some of Europe’s finest chamber musicians for an original and fresh approach to chamber music performance. Over the coming seasons the ensemble will be looking to explore standard and lesser-known repertoire from new perspectives.
After the very successful inaugural concert at the Zurich Opernhaus in September 2013, the ensemble gave several chamber music concerts with artists such as mezzo-soprano Anna Stéphany, tenor Benjamin Bernheim, french conductor and pianist Alain Altinoglu, and was invited by Bernard Haitink at his home for private concerts. In April 2016, the ensemble had its debut on the Opernhaus Zürich main stage for a recital with Anna Stéphany.
Labyrinth Ensemble is excited to explore further avenues of performance, encompassing music and the other arts such as dance, literature and theatre.
This season sees Labyrinth ensemble record his first CD with Anna Stéphany, as laureates of the HSBC Académie- Festival international d’art lyrique d’Aix-en-Provence. Other projects include concerts with sopranos Julie Fuchs and Julia Kleiter.
